Choose horse manure for slow-release fertilisation of your soil You might be thinking, horse manure’s a fertiliser that’s freely available so why pay for it? Unlike, farmyard manure, a greater number of weed seeds will remain in untreated horse manure. Our horse manure is composted for at least 16 weeks at a temperature that will kill seeds, pathogens and fly larva. It is then shredded before packaging to produce a friable product which is easy to spread. Horse manure can either be forked or rotavated into the soil or can be applied as a mulch. It will control weed growth and help to retain moisture but will eventually be incorporated into the soil by the action of weather and worms, when it will enrich your soil. Let us know the area in square metres which you wish to treat and we will work out the quantity that you require and the most economical way of supplying it. How will horse manure help my garden? Horse manure can be applied as a mulch. It will control weed growth and help to retain moisture but will eventually be incorporated into the soil by the action of weather and worms, when it will enrich your soil. This well rotted horse manure can be used on all herbaceous borders, flower, vegetable beds and of course is especially good for roses.
