Growing Media

Growing Media (sometimes called potting soil/compost) is the term given to any material used in a container to grow a plant. A growing medium should provide anchorage for the plant, provide adequate air spaces for root respiration and hold sufficient water and nutrients. Ingredients of a growing medium can be inorganic or organic, although there is a general consensus that the use of peat should be reduced.

Woodland Horticulture has a range of growing media formulated from a variety of locally sourced raw materials in order to achieve the correct balance of characteristics for any application.
